The Rundown: A family finds themselves in a nightmare when something happens to their youngest child.

It’s a typical night in the suburbs and a family has just put their toddler child down to sleep for the night before returning to their living room to spend time with their older child and remark on the crazy old woman who lives next door. A suburban tableau that is interrupted by their child emerging from his crib as a fully grown adult with the mind of a baby.

As chaos emerges across the town, the family fights their way into the city and discovers that the phenomenon is not only affecting all babies, but is making things dangerous not only for them, but for anyone around them as the kids have no control over their impulses and the harm they can cause.

The Story: Ennis crafts an interesting story in this one shot. I like that the premise mixes all the tropes of a zombie movie while creating the added drama of knowing that these “monsters” are not in control and shouldn’t be harmed. There is some great drama throughout the story and it comes to an interesting and unexpected twist at the end.

The Art: Talajic creates some interesting and well detailed art throughout the issue. The story and the art are definitely adult in nature and work well for the tone of the story.
